MADRID, May 7 (Xinhua) -- This season's La Liga title could be decided in Sunday's Clasico, when Barcelona hosts Real Madrid at Camp Nou in the standout match of the 35th round.

Barcelona has an 11-point lead over Real Madrid with 12 points left to play for, meaning a draw would be enough for Hansi Flick's side to be crowned champion with three games remaining.

Barcelona remains without Lamine Yamal, while Andreas Christensen is also unavailable. Flick otherwise has a full squad to choose from. Real Madrid's injury list continues to grow, with Ferland Mendy joining Eder Militao, Rodrygo, Arda Guler, Dani Carvajal and Thibaut Courtois on the sidelines. Kylian Mbappe is also a major doubt with a muscle injury.

Although Barcelona is almost certain to win the title, Real Madrid will be motivated to delay the celebrations and take a small consolation from what has otherwise been a disappointing end to the season.

Europe is at stake when Atletico Madrid hosts Celta Vigo on Saturday. Atletico returns home after its Champions League semifinal defeat to Arsenal and looks secure in fourth place, with qualification for next season's Champions League all but assured.

Celta is sixth and on course for the Europa League, although a win would keep alive its hopes of overtaking fifth-placed Betis. Depending on results elsewhere, fifth place could still be enough for a Champions League spot.

Real Betis visits Real Sociedad, whose form has dipped since winning the Copa del Rey and securing its place in next season's Europa League. Home coach Pellegrino Matarazzo now has to keep his side motivated through the final stretch of the season.

Mallorca took an important step toward safety by beating Girona last weekend and can move closer to survival against third-placed Villarreal. Villarreal assured a quick return to the Champions League last weekend before confirming that coach Marcelino Garcia Toral will leave at the end of the season.

Things are getting desperate for second-bottom Levante after last weekend's defeat at Villarreal, and anything but a win at home to mid-table Osasuna on Friday would be a huge blow to its survival hopes. Striker Carlos Espi will carry Levante's hopes, while winger Victor Munoz remains out for Osasuna.

Athletic Club announced Edin Terzic as its coach for next season during the week, and his future players will have a chance to impress at home to Valencia, which starts the weekend just three points above the relegation zone.

Alaves, currently in the final relegation place, faces a vital visit to Elche, which has two more points in a potentially decisive survival clash. Sevilla, which climbed out of the bottom three on Monday, is at home to Espanyol, which has only three points more than Alaves and is still without a win in 2026.

Bottom side Oviedo could have its return to the second tier confirmed with a defeat at home to Getafe, while on Monday, Girona, which will be in the relegation zone if Alaves and Sevilla both win, visits Rayo Vallecano.
