BERLIN, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- The Netherlands and Poland were the standout teams on the final day of the ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Inzell, Germany.

The Netherlands won gold in both the women's mass start and the women's team sprint, while Poland claimed the titles in the second 500m races for both men and women.

In the men's second 500m, Poland's Damian Zurek won in 34.06 seconds to set a track record. American Jordan Stolz, who had already secured the season title in the event, finished second, 0.04 seconds back. Poland's Marek Kania placed third in 34.29.

The women's second 500m title went to Poland's Kaja Ziomek-Nogal.

In the women's team sprint, the Netherlands, Canada and host Germany finished first through third. In the men's team sprint, the United States beat Norway by 0.66 seconds to take gold, with the Netherlands third and China eighth.

The mass start titles went to Czech skater Metodej Jilek in the men's race and Dutch skater Marijke Groenewoud in the women's.

China also had strong results in Division B. Yu Shihui won the women's second 500m Division B in 38.18 seconds, a personal best, while Ahenar Adake finished second in the women's mass start Division B in 8:48.11.

The Inzell stop ended the 2025-2026 ISU Speed Skating World Cup season, which comprised five events. The first four stops, held in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands and Norway, served as Olympic qualifying competitions.

Speed skating will now turn its attention to the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, with events scheduled from Feb. 7 to 21.
